Sima is a warm, experienced Clinical Psychologist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. She began practicing in 1998 and has since developed a rich career as both a Clinical and Educational Psychologist. Earlier in her career overseas, Sima worked in private practice and held academic roles as a lecturer and tutor at several universities, integrating clinical work with teaching and research.
Since moving to Australia in 2008, Sima has worked across diverse settings including community health services, private practice, non-government organisations, and educational institutions. She brings a culturally
sensitive lens to her work and has supported people from a wide range of backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities, individuals with trauma histories, and those navigating complex mental
health challenges. Sima is fluent in Farsi and Dari, allowing her to provide therapeutic services in these languages where appropriate.
Sima is an AHPRA-endorsed Clinical Psychologist, an accredited EMDR therapist, and a credentialed provider under the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential. She is also trained in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, offering comprehensive, evidence-based evaluations across age groups. Sima is a full member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Her therapeutic style is collaborative, client-centred, and integrative. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including:
